Happy Kids Preparatory School are interested in meeting:

• They would like to discuss their administration management requirements with relevant UK companies that are able to meet our software need to manage the complex nature of our school transactions.

• To engage with professional & support service providers that would like to help recruit English teacher volunteers to work with us – we currently work with some Canadian and American volunteers that are delivering English language lessons etc in our school. We would be delighted to work with any UK firm with expertise in this area.

Current Projects
Happy Kids have plans to expand our facility to Senior High School level (we currently operate Creche to Junior High School levels). Part of the expansion project will be to build a computer laboratory and equip the facility. We are therefore looking to identify UK partner that are able to supply us with suitable computers and related equipment and help with our sports club. We estimate the project value to be £20,000. 

BCCT are looking for all kinds of suppliers that have an interest in the Thai market.

Thailand is strategically located in South East Asia with land links to Laos, Cambodia, Burma, and Malaysia.  Bangkok, its city is a hub for many multinational enterprise.  To retain its competitive edge once the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) comes in effect, Thailand needs to improve the English language skill as it will be the official language for ASEAN.  According to British education and publishing group, Pearson Plc, Thailand’s education system is ranked 37th out of 40 countries.  That means there is an urgent need for English proficiency among teachers, students and company employees. English for Specific Purpose (ESP) is also needed in all across sectors e.g. Oil & Gas, Healthcare and ICT. 

The vocational courses and trainings are needed in areas e.g. Engineering, Healthcare and Tourism as Thailand is currently facing vocational skills shortages.  The Ministry of Education plans to enhance vocational education and is receptive to collaborating with overseas delivery partners.  The aim is to increase the number of students enrolling to vocational education and to provide higher quality vocational training.  So that Thailand can increase its employability and remain a leading value-added manufacturing and service economy.  

Due to the penetration of 4G internet in the Thai market, it is expected that the number of mobile users will increase from 40 million users to 50 million users in a few years.  This number shows that Thai are very well receptive with new technology.  To keep up with the global trend of digital economy, the interactive software and hardware are interesting learning tools to create a fun learning experience for both adults and kids.  

Ghana Education service is looking to meet professional and support services to discuss our pre-tertiary requirements as per the sub-sectors indicated below

Profile

• The Ghana Education Service is responsible for pre-tertiary education in Ghana. We currently have various educational projects ongoing and would need to identify suitable UK partners.
• Interested in administration and management systems that can help us better co-ordinate activities of 216 district education offices in Ghana. 
• To find and engage with school buildings and equipment supplies that would be interested in working with us on school expansion projects.

Current Projects:

The government of Ghana as part of its commitment to construct 200 Community Day Senior High Schools, the construction of 123 schools has commenced in earnest with 100 schools being funded by government and 23 schools by the World Bank. Three schools have been completed at Otuam, Bamianko and Nkwanta. Ten additional schools are expected to be completed by the end of the year. An amount of $350M has been allocated for educationalprojects and we would be interested in identifying UK partners for possible collaboration.Following the passage of the Bill by Parliament for the establishment of the 

University of Environment and Sustainable Development in the Eastern Region,Construction works for the university will commence in 2016, again another opportunity for UK supply chain to tap into.

There is a growing demand for UK under graduate/post graduate studies, skills training for the oil & gas and other sectors. It is important that training companies and institutions identify their main areas of focus for the Ghanaian market and the type of delivery methods they can offer. 

There are business opportunities for the construction of new public/private schools including the supply of classroom materials and equipment (including hardware and software), administration & management systems and software. 

Continuous training of educational professionals to stay abreast of the latest development in the sector is highly required.

UKTI Hong Kong is interested in meeting:

• British schools interested in establishing an international school in Hong Kong
• UK early childhood education providers interested in establishing a playgroup, pre-nursery school and/or kindergarten in Hong Kong

 

UK-HK ICT in Education Partnership Initiative TestBed providers

The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is devoting considerable resources to the teaching of English at schools, in the workplace and in the wider community in order to maintain Hong Kong’s status as Asia’s World City. 

English language is very popular amongst Hong Kong young learners, and British English is valued by parents when choosing courses for their children. Home learning resources, particularly high-end English and multimedia learning resources designed for young learners, are popular choices in-market.

Promotion of e-learning in schools is high on the Government’s education agenda, including the development of e-learning resources for the enhancement of learning and teaching. The Government’s total grant to schools for ICT resources is £24 million p.a. It is taking steps to provide grants for schools to trial e-learning resources and foster a marketplace for the e-learning industry.
